Kayaking Trips The MYC Kayaking program organizes approximately six to eight kayak paddles each summer in Cape Cod's bays, ponds, rivers, and streams. The following are examples of trips recently taken. This is for your information only, and the conditions you encounter may vary. |
Arey's Pond Paddle This paddle was easy in calm waters with little wind. It was about 6 miles round trip, and included a stop at the end of Kent's point conservation area for. A shorter trip alternative was to follow the southern border of Kent's Point into Lonnies Pond. Departure from the boat ramp on Barley Neck Rd in Orleans, about 1/2 mile on the right from the start of Barley Neck Rd. | Mill Pond / Stage Harbor to Oyster Pond This paddle is very popular in Chatham because it is easy and very scenic. Most kayakers do it one way, with the direction based on the tides. The trip is around 4 miles one-way. It can start/end in Mill Pond or at the landing on Bridge St across from the MYC clubhouse |
